Toronto, Ontario

We arrived in Toronto around 7:30ish Sunday night. Our hotel was right across the street from the train station which was great since we had all of our luggage to haul around. After getting checked in, we walked down to where Josh's conference was. We found a coupon for buy one, get one free desert. So, we went to the restaurant. It is really neat place. It is designed like a market, so you go around to all of these stations and decide what you want. More on that restaurant later.

Monday, Josh got up early and went to the conference. I stayed in the hotel and studied. That night we went to two "parties" (at these conferences the companies put on these parties for their clients at night).

The first one we went to was at the docks. Josh really liked this one because they had fresh sushi flown in. It was really pretty overlooking the Toronto skyline from across the Toronto Harbor.

We also went to the CN Tower. This was one party!! They went all out with this bash. So many people came that they went over capacity and had to tell people they couldn't come up until people started coming down. We got there really late, but we enjoyed it.
Josh, Frank (Josh's main sale's man), and another guy

Tuesday morning was the same as Monday...Josh left, I stayed (and slept). For lunch we went to this luncheon where Archie Manning was the guest speaker. He seemed to be in a big hurry, so we only got my picture with him. I really wanted both of us to be in the picture, but there was no one to take the darn thing. Tuesday night we went on a dinner cruise. It was 20's themed. We had a good time at this one, too. It was really hot inside the cabin, so we mostly stayed out on the deck. We ended up getting a free cab ride there and a $25 gift card while on board. Let me explain. We were waiting for a cab and met a guy going to the same place, and I asked if he wanted to ride with us. Little did I know that he worked for the company that was putting on the event, so he insisted on paying (I felt horrible, Josh thought it was great). Then, we were talking with this guy that worked for a subsidiary company of the main company. He won a gift card from a raffle. He gave it to us since we were sitting with him when he won. That bought us dinner Saturday night, so thanks!!

Wednesday, Josh went to his conference in the morning. We met for a hot dog at lunch (I've already told you the hot dogs up there are great!!). After lunch, we went on a bus & boat tour of the city. I thought it was a lot of fun.

That night we went back to the market type restaurant mentioned earlier. Again, we had a buy one/get one free coupon for desert. We ate dinner and then relaxed at the hotel. Well, I got some kind of food poisoning from this restaurant. I was up throwing up early the next morning.

So, on Thursday I felt like crap all day. Luckily (or maybe unluckily), we were flying home that day. I felt nauseous on all the flights, but I never got sick again. We made it home safely Thursday night, and our good friends Kevin and Angela picked us up at the airport.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation, but I have to say it is great being back home. And b.t.w. we went to get the baby Saturday. Josh and I both missed the little booger so much we couldn't leave him for the extra week we were supposed to. So it is back to the regular routine for the Grabowski family.
