Is he cheap? Or is he frugal?

That is the question here lately. The "he" is obviously my wonderful, loving husband. He has been drawing a thin line lately with being cheap or frugal. He calls it being frugal, of course. But I don't know. You decide...

He has found this website where he can get discounted gift certificates for certain restaurants. Which is cool...you pay say $3 for a $10 gift certificate (i.e. being frugal). What is amusing to me is that he has also found a coupon, yes a coupon, that he can use to get a reduced price on the already discounted gift certificate. So, instead of the $10 gift certificate costing the usual 3 bucks, it now costs $1.50 or $0.90. Again, what ever. I love the fact he tries to save money, but here is the kicker. We were out to eat the other night (using a gift certificate, of course) and I told him I wanted some ice cream after dinner. Do you know what he said to me? (And i quote) "We don't have a coupon for that." I was like "WHAT??!!??" I know he was joking, but come on. Anyway, I think he is cheap! ;)
