Well, life around the Grabowski house has been interesting to say the least the last month. I am posting this right now instead of doing my homework. It has been a long week around here for me. A lot of emotional ups and downs. Things at work haven't been working well (things are great, just experiments not working), but I think I finally got it working Friday. It is such a difference working for Ramesh than with David. When I got my assay to work Friday, Ramesh was so proud of me and told me that I was doing a great job...David never gave me that type of praise and it really does make a difference!!
First off, school has ended and started again for me...whooohooo!! I got an "A" in both classes that I took in July. So, if you do the math that means I still have my 4.0!! Yeah for me :)
At the end of August we had "the Big Reveal" at church. I don't really know how much I have mentioned about this, but our summer series at church was "Extreme Makeover: Church Edition." And Josh was Guy Manington, the host of the show. That is why we weren't able to come to Columbus all summer long. He was in a skit every week from June to August. So, that is over now. I am still trying to get the video of his "I'm the Very Model of a TV Home Improvement Guy" song on the computer so I can post it. It is hysterical!! They also did Extreme Makeover the Musical, which was also quite humorous. I think the best part of it all is that hardly anyone called him Josh all summer...he was "Guy" to everyone! Anyway, here are some picts for the reveal morning. And in case you are wondering the big reveal was our new Sunday morning schedule (we are now having Sunday school and worship at 9 and 10:30) and our new logo.

Also, that same weekend, we had a tri-county evangelism conference (or something like that). We went because our choir was singing. Afterwards we went to our music ministers house to hang out with some of the youth that came out. Josh mainly played with Lee and Elizabeth's two little girls.

Josh and Cadence at the end of the night
At the beginning of this post I mentioned how emotionally draining this week has been, well Josh totaled his work truck Thursday on his way home from work. He is okay, but just hearing the story over and over this weekend, and seeing everyone that saw it come up and ask if he is okay and how surprised they are that he made it really made it hit home that I could have lost him the other day. Thankfully I have a husband who wears his seat belt every time he gets in the car, otherwise he probably would either still be in the hospital or be with God. To tell you what I know, he was going through an intersection when a car ran a red light to his left and well kaboom. Everyone was taken to the hospital except him. His truck flipped and he was dangling by his seat belt. All he has on him is a burn from the airbag. Typing this story brings me to tears knowing how lucky he is and knowing how much God was watching after him that day. I can't see my life without him, and I don't know what I would have done had he been seriously hurt. The investigation is not over yet, and there will probably be a lawsuit to come over all of this. *I don't mean to sound racist in this next part, so please don't take it that way.* He hit a black woman, and most of the black community around here are still not over the killing of the little boy last year by a white cop. He was told that there will probably be a lawsuit because the woman thinks that this is WM police covering up for a WM city worker. There was a man that has already changed his story when he was Josh WM Utilities truck. It is really scary for me. Of course, Josh isn't worried about a thing. He doesn't worry about much. Anyway, that's enough about that. Here are a couple pictures of his truck (I should have pictures of the actual wreck tomorrow that I'll post) and his arm.

The scratches to the left are from Bear
(just to give you a little more perspective on how lucky he was)
Again, it was God and only God that kept Josh safe that day, and I am so thankful for that. Please pray for us with the pending investigation. We love you all!!
