Update on the houses

Yes, yes, I know I haven't posted in over a month.  But believe me I have a very good excuse! We got back from our cruise at the end of May and Josh's grandparents came to visit from Buffalo (if you didn't know that, then read my previous posts).  The new house had already been started.  It looked like this:

~May 29~

It made me a little nervous that they had started the house before we had actually closed on the one we were living in.  But alas, everything happens in God's time, not ours!  The extended closing date on the house (June 15) came and went.  We re-listed the house on the 15th with the hopes of having another quick contract put in place and maybe only moving once instead of twice.  Well...it didn't quite happen that way.  We got word on Wednesday, June 16 that the estranged husband of the lady wanting to buy our house was now willing (after over two months) to sign the waiver of rights paper work.  He signed all the paper work on Thursday, and we found out on Friday that we were going to close on the following Monday, June 21.  At this time we had NO WHERE to live.  I was in complete freak-out mode as always.  Our wonderful realtor, Linda found us a house to rent for four months.  So, on Saturday (the 19th) we signed the lease to live in a church's parsonage.  We moved all non-essential furniture and items in that day.  We didn't get electricity until Tuesday and no gas hook-up until Friday.  We ended up moving all the other items in on Thursday.  Then, on Friday afternoon we left to go to Columbus for my Mom's retirement party.  So...it's been CrAzY around here, to say the least.  But I'm glad we are officially out of the other house and can focus on the new one.

Here are pictures of the progress on the house.
