I had thought of putting this with the last post, but I felt it deserved recognition all on its own (sorry, honey)! So, while we were in Columbus for Thanksgiving, Josh shot his first deer of the season. He and Dad came home all excited because he shot a deer. Being the good wife that I am, I go and get the camera. I wasn't there to document the 8-point he shot two years ago (his first deer, first buck, etc.) Anyway, I go out there and Josh is pleading me to not take any pictures. I didn't understand at first until I saw the deer. So, this is a pictorial representation of what happened next...

And the REAL "trophy deer"
(a 3-point...not something to write home to mom about)
I thought all you hunters would get a giggle out of that. No, this trophy deer is not quite legal, but in his defense, he thought it was a doe. Apparently, everyone that has gone out to Dad's new hunting land has shot something the first time they went out there. Josh felt the pressure...he passed up a small 4-point for this "medium-sized doe," or so he thought. And yes, I probably shouldn't be documenting this mishap on here, but I wanted to share. After all, this blog is meant to keep our family and friends updated on ALL our updates, right?
