Well, we have officially made it through our second week with Alyssa. She is such a blessing, yet such a hand full at the same time. I am such a non-patient person in general. It is AMAZING how much patients God gives you when dealing with your child. When I would usually be screaming my head off at her, I just talk softly to her until she calms back down. Anyway, this week was full of visitors, doctors visits, and our first baby sitter.
My Aunt Carol came to visit last Saturday while my mom was still here. We had a nice visit with her.

Josh's mom came in later that afternoon and stayed until yesterday. It was nice getting to visit with her for the week. And I know she enjoyed her time with Alyssa. Thursday and Friday, Josh's Aunt Cheryl and grandmother came to visit.

Alyssa had her two week check-up on Thursday. I being the new mom that I am brought my camera and took pictures. That's right...I'm that mom, and I'm proud of it!! She did really well considering it was FREEZING in our room. Needless to say, my naked baby was cold and fussy. Her weight and length were the same. She is in the 50 percentile for height, and 25 percentile for weight and head circumference.

While Josh's family was here, we went out to eat. So, Alyssa had her first baby sitters come over to keep her. Our sweet Sunday school teacher, Rick, and his wife, Lynell, watched Alyssa for us. We absolutely love this couple! I don't think I could have left my baby with anyone else and been okay with it. She, of course, did great for them.
