A tough day...

So, it hasn't been the best day in the world so far today. Which really stinks since tomorrow is my birthday. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better than today. Only time will tell. I'm taking a break from everything and blogging at work. Shhhh...don't tell anyone :)

This is my third week back at work. And I must say, my boss has really missed me. He had projects ready for me to start my second day back! Others that have been out for several weeks didn't get started back for at least a week (including the boss). Oh, well...it keeps my mind busy. Alyssa has been doing great at daycare so far. She really seems to like her teachers. I think she acts better for them than she does us.

We had baby dedication a few weeks ago. Alyssa was the only one dedicated in our service. At first I was kind of weirded out by the fact that we would be up there by ourselves, but then I was excited because it would be all about her/us and no one else. It was a very special time for us as parents to dedicate ourselves to being the best Christian parents and role models for her as possible. They gave her a little New Testament Bible and a certificate of dedication, which Josh, Bro. Clay, and I signed. My mom, dad, aunt, and both grandmothers came for the dedication. It was nice having that support there behind us. Here are a few pictures from the day.

In other news, Josh has already given me my birthday present. He gave it to me last Wednesday (I didn't ask for it early...so don't fuss at me). I came home from work and this bag was sitting on the counter next to Alyssa's carrier.
I asked what the bag was for and where it came from. He told me it was my birthday present. I asked him what I was supposed to do with it, and he told me I was supposed to carry it around with me. I politely told him that I didn't ask for a bag and I didn't need one. I know...I'm kind of mean and I don't hide my feelings very well when I don't like something. Anyway, I opened the bag and found this inside. It turns out the bag was free...That's about all that is going on with us right now. We are going to Tuscaloosa this weekend to watch an Alabama game (I have no clue who they are playing). And then next week it's Thanksgiving. I'm excited to see all our family again. A lot of them haven't gotten to meet Alyssa yet, so it should be fun. Here are a few more pictures of Alyssa for your viewing pleasure.
